The 60-minute rated Es-Shaft Smoke Vent Door is an outstanding example of innovative design. The discrete vent door is designed for residential and commercial developments where mechanical and natural smoke shafts ensure clear escape routes in lobbies and corridors. It can be installed into a variety of wall types to provide a flush and unobtrusive finish. By opening to 90⁰ in under 60 seconds, it gives 0.6m2 or 1.0m2 free vent area for mechanical or natural smoke control systems.

The Es-Shaft Smoke Vent Door is manufactured from steel, has a fully welded full length, concealed hinge and is supplied paint-ready or powder-coated. It is certified to BS EN12101-2 and 60 minute fire rated to EN1634-1. Airtight to Part L EN12207:2000 and BS EN2176 Part 31, it is powered by 24V DC actuators with a drive open, drive close operation. The product has been tested to 11,000 opening cycles, so can also be used for comfort cooling.

The Es-Shaft Smoke Vent Door has a 3-point locking access panel which opens towards the user and is also supplied with a square drive key, this enables access to the actuator for servicing and repairs. It has a pre-wired back box and removable face plate ensuring a quick and simple installation.
