Odds are that Prinny (aka the Prince Regent/King George IV in-waiting) would have approved the VIP service that Stannah’s NEW Microlift Evo adds to The Charm, a plush, 19th century boutique hotel in Brighton’s Kemptown.
A conspicuous bon viveur, Prinny loved easy living, and who wouldn’t want 5-star lodgings when visiting this vibrant watering hole, beloved of bon vivants throughout the ages.
Whisking food, drink and tableware between the ground-floor dining room and lower-ground kitchen, this dandy of a food lift makes life so much easier for everyone in The Charm. Not only does it improve service for patrons, it also protects personnel from the pressures of manual handling. Understandably, health and safety was not on Prinny’s radar, but he did remark that “The highest of distinctions is service to others”.
It’s also likely that the First Gentleman of England would have welcomed a Microlift Evo or two in his nearby pleasure palace, the Royal Pavilion. After all, Stannah Microlifts are Europe’s best-selling service lifts.
Designed to transport goods vertically, the Microlift Evo is supplied within its own enclosure and carries loads of up to 50kg. It also offers a greater size range, programming options and new controls, making it the best Microlift yet for flexibility of design, performance and application.
Phillip Brown, Director at Brown’s Construction Solutions, welcomed the benefits of the Microlift Evo in The Charm:
“The Charm is the result of a recent refurbishment that upscaled a former B&B into a boutique hotel, and the service had to reflect this. I contacted Stannah regarding their range of food hoists, and took their advice regarding their new model Microlift Evo. It is the ideal match for the light goods-handling requirements of The Charm, and looks good, too. “Importantly, this Grade II listed building benefited from a lift supplied within its own structure as this meant it did not need a shaft which could have compromised the historic integrity of the building. Installation was simple and quick, with the minimum of builder’s work. A great solution from Stannah – safe to say, I’m very happy with the result.”
As with all Stannah lift products, the Microlift Evo is covered by Stannah’s comprehensive lift service plan, including three visits in the first year, with continued lift maintenance by the Southern England branch of Stannah Lift Services, part of a nationwide network providing comprehensive lift servicing and support.
