UK based acoustic solutions Manufacturer and Supplier SOUNDTECT, recently launched their NEW FREESTYLE product range; a lightweight semi-rigid sound absorbing panel that can be used in a variety of design and interior solutions. What makes Freestyle so innovative is its incredible versatility - providing the perfect noise absorption solution in any domestic or commercial interior design spec. The 1220 x 2440 sheets are available in a wide range of colours and prints including wood effect and stone and two depths and can be integrated as stylish wall and ceiling panels or as suspended structures to create a standalone feature. The product capabilities are extensive - panels can be bold and vibrant and arranged to create an interesting pattern, or neutral to blend in and be discreet – that’s the beauty of Freestyle. Made from 100% polyester, 70% of which is post-consumer recycled PET material, Freestyle along with all the Soundtect products is completely safe, environmentally friendly, non-toxic, non-allergenic and incredibly easy to maintain.
Recent Freestyle projects include Cork Airport which tackled the acoustic absorption by designing the Freestyle as ceiling lattices, Google Israel who installed the product for floor to ceiling coverage, HSBC Birmingham who have a flock of birds flying through their atrium and Burleigh Medical Centre which designed feature walls using two different depths of panels to create a highly absorbent, wow factor in the double height reception area.
The beauty of this product as you can see, is that there are no boundaries, something which architects and designers alike are really excited about.
Soundtect, now in its 9th year, is internationally recognised and sought out for their products that not only address the issue of reverberation, but also add a positive design feature to rooms or areas in commercial, educational, hospitality and residential applications.
As a recycled product, Soundtect is an ideal choice for greener projects and with performance levels of up to 1.0 NRC, the panels are acoustic to the core.
Apart from the Freestyle, Soundtect has several other ranges for both walls and ceilings where, by creating highly design led panels, Soundtect has camouflaged acoustic function with imagination to produce beautiful patterns that are technically admirable due to their finely tuned balance of reverberation control and sound absorption.
With a growing sales team, new EC1 showroom opening end March plus a pop-up during Clerkenwell Design Week, Soundtect are here to stay, and are worth checking out if you haven’t done so already.
