The Fire Safety Event will help fire and safety professionals to achieve and maintain the very highest standards of fire safety management. Fire safety returns home to the NEC Birmingham on 21-23 March after four years away. More than 6,000 installers, end users, fire safety managers, consultants, risk assessors, insurers, facilities managers, health and safety professionals, manufacturers and fire and rescue services will enjoy an unparalleled line-up of free educational content.
Alongside the leading industry suppliers exhibiting at the show, you’ll also get access to over 12 hours of educational content helping you to keep up-to-date with legislation, gain knowledge from academic studies and best practise insight into some of the UK’s largest organisations. The Fire Safety Keynote Theatre (Sponsored by Advanced) will boast the most high-profile collection of fire industry experts ever assembled at a free-to-attend event in the UK.
Highlights include solicitor Warren Spencer, who has prosecuted more than 100 cases under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 [FSO], reviewing key prosecutions he's been involved with under the FSO. A live demonstration of a chemical explosion, which will show the devastating effects of not safely storing flammable chemicals. National Trust's Bob Bantock will explore emergency response and salvage operations in heritage premises. Bob will give particular focus to the devastating fire at Clandon House. There will be a second theatre called the Fire and Evacuation Theatre (sponsored by Fire and Security Matters magazine), which boasts more than six hours of case studies on topics such as terrorism, role of the responsible person, eliminating false alarms, risk assessment and more.
