As experts in bespoke glazed roof design and manufacture for both domestic and commercial projects, Howells Patent Glazing Ltd has kept busy over the past number of months to produce sleeker ridge end design for their hipped rooflights and additional opening vents for their hipped and the Ultraline flat range of rooflights.

The Ultraline flat range of standalone one-piece rooflights and the 40mm glass and insulated steel rafter systems can now incorporate electric opening vents to allow for air circulation.

The vents can be singular or multiple motors for the larger areas and are controlled using an open/close switch as standard. The options can be incorporated for solar controlled, clear toughened self-clean glass or a digital control panel with built-in external rain sensor and internal thermostat.

The Howells vent system slots into their patent glazing system and their rooflight and can accommodate single, double or triple glazing and standard RAL any colour to suit the glazing system. It has also been recently developed to work within the trapezoidal openings within their hipped rooflights.

They launched their familiarisation workshop in January this year, to bring about manufacturer best practice installation standards and this was further developed into an online addition to facilitate the new system of working from home for many people.
