For architects looking to turn car parks and driveways into a sustainable green car parking Grass Concrete provides building product that combine a green vista with built-in proven SuDS performance.
Grass Concrete offers two types of grass paving system called Grasscrete and Grassblock. The larger developments favour cast-on site Grasscrete for car parking projects suitable for heavy-duty trafficking. For housing developments, the easy to install precast Grassblock offers a permeable grass paved driveway with the maximum possible green space in what is typically hard landscaped areas.
Both systems are ready to be infilled with top-soil and appropriate grass seeds to suit the environment and provide durable alternatives to achieve maximum and sustainable grass cover. The permeability features of Grasscrete and Grassblock grass paving directly address SuDS issues. Hard landscaped areas can often provide high volumes of rain run-off into the sewer network especially during heavy flash floods. A more permeable grass paving mitigates surface water run-off and its implications for the local storm water network.
Besides grass paving the company offers a range of retaining wall blocks, the Betoconcept range.
These retaining walls combine noise reduction with attractive vertical landscaping, offering a real variety of planting options. The Betoconcept range brings different shapes and styles to accommodate planting on high or low walls with; Betoatlas, Betoflor, Betotitan, Leromur, Betojar, Betoplus and Betonap products.
With individual interlocking blocks and dry-build interconnectivity the range offers the ability to free-form wall layouts in single or terraced wall format. The finish offers a choice of plan table or stone finished faces, together with a range of colours.
