Visitors to Stand D31 at the forthcoming Futurebuild Exhibition (ExCel London 3rd – 5th March) will be able to gain a clearer understanding of why the Magnesium Oxide based boards, which Magply supplies across the UK construction market, provide outstanding fire and weather resistance. Having last year added successfully BDA Agrement approval to other its other certifications, thereby confirming its suitability for an array of new-build applications, Magply is seeking to broaden its customer base, enabling new clients to embrace beneficial building practices both on site and in the factory. These include partner company, Jo Blox which will be on the stand showing its new hemp based, unitised block system which features Magply for the inner face. Magply’s stand will also feature static rigs displaying sample build-ups, project case studies and design software to show specifiers how the versatile boards are being employed cross the UK and Ireland for a variety of applications. These include high-rise steel frame constructions exposed to the elements for months and student accommodation blocks in city centre locations where addressing the risk of fire spreading between adjacent properties is critical. Magply offers a superior alternative to plywood or OSB for sheathing, decking and panelised of volumetric systems, while its unique production process crucially keeps the chloride content to just 0.01%, enhancing stability and long term durability. Boards are additionally easy to cut and fix, adding practicality to BS EN 476 compliance in order to meet the widest possible selection of future challenges.
