Floating ceiling is the perfect choice for Portsmouth Ferry Terminal

Specified by D5 Architects in Birmingham, Hunter Douglas V100 and 150c ceiling systems have been installed within the main concourse and office areas at Portsmouth Ferry Terminal. The main contractors were Mansells and the ceiling was installed by AT Jones.

The V100 screen ceiling system is ideal for visually reducing room height whilst retaining the original room volume and is also the optimum choice when services such as H&V ducting or cable trays need to be visually obscured. Easy access to the void is afforded as the system is open and individual panels can be removed if required.

Panels are available 101 mm deep (V100) and 200mm deep (V200) are easily clipped into the carrier, which offers three standard modular dimension of 100mm, 150mm and 200mm. Viewed at a typical angle of approximately 45 degrees, the ceiling has a visually closed appearance.

Manufactured from Aluminium the 100% recyclable vertically installed panels are lightweight, strong and available in a variety of different modules. They can be supplied in any length up to 6000mm as standard and the panels are available in a wide range of colour options. Some systems are also available with the patented Luxacote® paint system for exterior applications, with technical data available where the system has been tested for resistance to wind pressure and wind suction.
