David Lloyd Racquets Club in Milton Keynes has delighted members by providing them with an internationally approved badminton surface. The project involved uplifting an old tennis carpet and installing a 7mm Taraflex sports floor by Gerflor.

The David Lloyd Group has used Taraflex at a number of other clubs over the last few years in various areas from aerobic studios through to children’s play areas as well as badminton courts.

Darren Wood is Sports Manager at Gerflor and helped Lloyds to reach their decision. “Lloyds aims to deliver products and services in line with consumers’ high expectations. Taraflex is an ideal multi-use sports surface and has a very low-maintenance regime benefit due to a surface treatment called Protecsol®. This is applied at manufacturing stage and means no sanding, no polishes and no unexpected maintenance bills.
