Non-Fragile Glass Rooflights
SkyLight Solutions design, manufacture and install bespoke high performance glass rooflights, tested to CWCT TN67 Class 2.
Technical Notes 66 & 67 produced by the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology, are recognised as the only glass specific performance guidelines, covering the design and destructive performance testing of low pitch glazed roofing.
Rooflights complying with CWCT TN67 Class 2 are designed to protect people walking adjacent or undertaking maintenance work on the glazed roofing, from falling through.
Unlike the ACR[M]001:2005 test, designed for thermoplastic rooflights, the CWCT test includes both soft and hard body tests, on both the outer and inner panes of glass, followed by a static load test of up to 180kg for a period of 30 minutes.
Using a combination of upgraded outer and inner glass within a high performance fully thermally broken extruded aluminium framing system, rooflights can be designed with slope pitches as low as 7 degrees.
The rooflights achieve industry leading overall system U values of 1.5W/m2k, air tightness of greater than 600 pa and Water Tightness of 1200 pa.
Rooflights are powder coated with Syntha Pulvin super durable polyester powder coating, guaranteed for 30 years. The system design allows for different internal and external colours to be selected.
SkyLight Solutions are a single source for high-quality, custom-designed rooflights and roof glazing. Working closely with architects and contractors, we progress projects from concept through to final installation, managing every stage and ensuring overall aesthetics, performance, timescale and budget are achieved.
